NYC Music Spaces Website Enhanced by New Do-It-Yourself Feature for Music Facilities
New DIY feature ensures musicians that NYC Music Spaces has the most accurate, up-to-date information on New
York City music rehearsal and performance spaces available anywhere.
April 5, 2006
(New York, N.Y.) - NYC Music Spaces this week announced the debut of its new do-it-yourself Space Information System
for facilities listed on www.nycMusicSpaces.org. Facilities listed on the website may now update their space listings
or add new listings online at any time. The new DIY feature ensures musicians that NYC Music Spaces has the most
accurate, up-to-date information on New York City music rehearsal and performance spaces available anywhere.
Now rehearsal, audition and performance facilities included on the NYC Music Spaces website can update their own
listings, preview them and add new ones instantly by simply clicking a button, rather than having to download, print,
fill out and mail a form. Streamlining features, such as a duplication shortcut for multiple studios within one
facility, make adding spaces expedient and easy. The DIY Space Information System is password-protected and saves
facilities valuable time and money.
"We are grateful to the Christian A. Johnson Endeavor Foundation for their support in developing this new capability,"
said Eugenie C. Cowan, director of the program's nonprofit sponsor, NYC Performing Arts Spaces. "Such vital support
from foundations enables us to offer valuable website enhancements to the performing arts community."
NYC Music Spaces is a program of NYC Performing Arts Spaces, a nonprofit organization that identifies and helps
create workspaces for the performing arts in New York City. Its other web-based resources are
www.nycDanceSpaces.org
and the upcoming www.nycTheatreSpaces.org. Details about the organization's history, its current programs and how to
support it are available at www.nycPASpaces.org.
